Welcome to Twin Rivers Charter School, home of the Tigers!!

Twin Rivers Charter School (TRCS) is a California public charter school for students in grades TK-8th. Enrollment is open to any resident in the state of California. Students will be considered for enrollment without regard to ethnicity, national origin, gender or disability. 

Enrollment to TRCS requires a commitment from both students and parents, to the mission and vision of the school as set forth in the Twin Rivers Charter School charter document. Prior to admission, all parents or guardians shall be required to complete an application packet and sign an agreement indicating they understand the school's philosophy, program and volunteer policy.

 

TRCS Lottery

Once the enrollment period is closed TRCS will conduct a lottery for all participants that do not meet exemption requirements.

TRCS provides an exemption from the lottery for those students currently enrolled (except TK students). Lottery exemptions are also granted to:

• Siblings of students already admitted to or attending TRCS;
• Children of TRCS founders, teachers, and staff, so long as the total number of students allowed under this exemption constitutes only a small percentage of the school's total enrollment; and
• Children of employees in a work-site charter school (so long as the total number of students allowed under this exemption constitutes does not exceed five percent of the school's total enrollment).

 

Lottery entries shall be given in the following allocations:

• Four (4) lottery entries to April Lane Elementary School boundary area students and/or student currently attending April Lane Elementary School;
• Three (3) lottery entries to currently enrolled TRCS TK students;
• Two (2) lottery entries to students served by YCUSD; or
• One (1) entry for all other California residents.

 

TRCS Enrollment for 2024/25, all grade levels, will begin on Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at 7:30AM. Completed application packets are due Thursday, February 29, 2024 by 4:00PM.

The 2024/25 TRCS Enrollment Lottery will be held Wednesday, March 13, 2024 at 8:30AM

 

Waiting List

The yearly TRCS Enrollment Lottery will fill open enrollment slots and create, if needed, the TRCS waiting list for each grade level.

(Note: Students who are on the waitlist when a space opens, but do not opt to enroll when their name is selected on the waitlist will be dropped from the waitlist for the current school year and will be required to re-apply through the TRCS Application process the following school year.)

 

 

This website is the first step in registering students new to Twin Rivers Charter School and allows you to quickly start the process of registering your student(s) for school. Information about the student such as emergency contacts, medical and language information will be collected. Please make sure to have the birth certificate and immunization records available.

If you are unable to complete the online registration process in one sitting, you may save what you have completed and resume the process at a later time.
